According to Your Peers

“I attended an Orion Hiring Conference and was interviewed by four companies and received job offers from three of them. Now, as an Operations Manager, there is a direct link between the work I did in the Marine Corps and the daily operations here at the landfill. My experience with logistics and heavy equipment greatly enhanced my chances of landing a job in this industry.” - Jamie Harris, Operations Manager, Republic Services

“My new career is a near perfect match for what I was looking for. I'm currently a Facilities Engineer responsible for supervising maintenance personnel and coordinating calibration and preventative maintenance for a large production factory. In the Navy, I was an Electricians Mate Chief (E7). My military experience greatly helped prepare me for my current job. My knowledge of complex submarine systems, as well as leading personnel, will help me succeed in my new position.

My Orion recruiter, Mike Wooster, was extremely helpful in getting me a position that both pays well and also was located in the geographical area I was looking for. With another recruiting firm, I felt like I was dealing with a used car dealer. They tried to push me to a higher paying job in the nuclear field that was out of the area that I requested. They required me to change my resume to meet their standard format and said that it didn't ‘stand up’ against candidates they had seen with similar backgrounds. When I said that I wasn't able to attend their one of their hiring conferences, my recruiter told me that he was removing me from their system. I'm very thankful that I had such great success with Orion.” - Quentin Sweeney, Facilities Engineer, Aspen Aerogels

“I was an Interior Communication Electrician Third Class (E-4) in the US Navy and feel that what I learned and the environment of being on a ship meshed well with the automotive coating community. The safety procedures and all around knowledge the Navy taught me has made a difference in my new job.

My Orion recruiter, Ernest Burson, was great and helped me with any questions I had. Orion blew the competition out of the water hands down!” - Phillip Howell, Field Technical Service Representative II, BASF
