Sultan Camp joins the Orion team after 20 years of active duty service. He graduated from Sonar Technician Class 'A' School and 'C' School, and was then assigned as a Plankowner on the USS Lake Erie (CG 70) based in Pearl Harbor, HI.
Following a successful tour on the Lake Erie, Sultan then Commissioned the USS Stethem (DDG 63), based in San Diego. After that he served as an AN/SQS 53C Sonar System 'C' School instructor. He also served on USS Hayler (DD 997) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; USS Donald Cook (DDG 75); Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit 206; and Naval Oceanographic Processing Facility, where he retired from Active Duty in August 2009.
After being a facilitator of the military's largest Transition Assistance Program in Norfolk for two years, Sultan joined the Orion team in March 2013. Sultan works with Navy candidates who are 4-18 months from transition who are planning their career search and preparing for their transition from Active Duty.
As a career transition and LinkedIn expert, Sultan has been featured in the New York Times' Best Selling author, Martin Yate's book Knock 'Em Dead Secrets & Strategies for First Time Job Seekers (2013), in the April & July 2013 issue of G.I. Jobs, and also writes a monthly blog post.
